Liverpool to win at Brighton @ 31/50
Liverpool were impressive 3-0 winners against Leicester last weekend before Jurgen Klopp made five changes, including altering three of his back four, and paid the price in a 2-0 defeat at home to Atalanta in the Champions League. Such poor performances have been few and far between though and Klopp is expected to name a stronger team this weekend. That should ensure Liverpool are back to something close to their best and a Reds win looks a solid pick for the first of our Premier League predictions.
Manchester City to beat Burnley @ 9/50
City have not been at their fluent best in the Premier League this season recently but the visit of Burnley gives them the chance to find their shooting boots. City have won 10 of their last 11 meetings in all competitions with the Clarets, who have been thrashed 5-0 on their last three visits to the Etihad Stadium. Burnley have only scored four goals this season so even with City not at their best, this should be a routine home win.
Everton to beat Leeds @ 19/20
Everton welcomed back Richarlison last weekend and returned to winning ways with a 3-2 victory at Fulham which lifted them back into the top six. The Brazil international served a three-match suspension prior to the international break and the Toffees lost all three, conceding seven goals. They look a different team when he is providing the service to Dominic Calvert-Lewin and we’re happy to oppose Leeds, who have only picked up one point from their last three matches.
Chelsea to beat Tottenham @ 11/10
Chelsea will hope having an extra two days to prepare will give them the edge in what could prove to be an important London derby against Tottenham. Both teams look possible Premier League title contenders this season and Spurs start the weekend top of the table but only two points clear of their hosts. We just think Chelsea have better options on the bench and the longer preparation time means we’re backing a home win at Stamford Bridge.
Arsenal and Wolves to draw @ 12/5
Arsenal and Wolves are separated by just one point and have proved to be two well-matched teams since the latter returned to the Premier League. Wolves finished one place and three points above Arsenal last season and both meetings at the Emirates Stadium in the last two seasons ended in a 1-1 draw. Both teams have even scored and conceded the same number of goals this season so it is hard to avoid picking a draw as the last of our Premier League predictions.
